Legal Assistance of Windsor (LAW) is hiring 9 law students for hands-on casework during this summer.

​

About LAW

LAW is an interdisciplinary community legal clinic funded by Legal Aid Ontario and combining the legal and social work professions to meet the multi-faceted needs of the low-income community in Windsor and Essex County.

​

About the Position

The successful students will gain litigation and advocacy experience in a social justice clinic while contributing to our community.

 

Areas of practice:

• Social Benefits Law

• Landlord-Tenant Law

• Immigration Law

• Public Legal Education

• Great pre-articling experience!

 

Salary and benefits:

• $800 per week (avg. salary over 16-week contract)

• 5 vacation days

 

Timelines:

• Applications due March 16, 2026, at 4pm

• Interviews March 23-27, 2026

• Contract start date May 11, 2026
