Legal Assistance of Windsor (LAW) is seeking a full time Project Coordinator of the Anti-Human Trafficking project. This is a 12 month maternity leave contract. The term of the contract is November 2, 2020-October 29, 2021. The Coordinator will provide intake, assessment and counselling, crisis intervention and advocacy on behalf of survivors of human trafficking. Significant public outreach and public education activities are required.

Legal Assistance of Windsor (LAW) is an interdisciplinary clinic combining legal and social work professions to meet the multi-faceted needs of the low-income community in Windsor and Essex County. LAW is a joint service of the Faculty of Law, University of Windsor and Legal Aid Ontario providing law and social work students with challenging learning opportunities. LAW’s Anti-Human Trafficking Program provides survivors of human trafficking and those at risk of human trafficking with support and advocacy.

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from a recognized University. Previous experience working with victims of crime and/or newcomers to Canada is an asset. Strong administrative, clinical and advocacy skills are essential.
